My Sick Day Routine

We all have those days. You wake up and something isn’t right. Sometimes it’s a headache, a sore throat, maybe even the flu. Whatever the case may be, sometimes we wake up and think, “I’m sick.”

I am definitely someone that has a specific routine on those days when I’m feeling under the weather and today I thought I would share that with you.

I like to start the day by heading into the kitchen and getting a drink and something to eat. Even though I might be unwell, I make sure I stay hydrated and full of food. I will grab some water and of course, make myself a cup of tea.

Once I’ve had something to eat and drink, I will head into the bathroom and have a shower. This all depends on how sick I am though as sometimes I just want to crawl back into bed. However, I do like to have a shower most of the time as I feel like it helps with making me feel better and makes me feel that little bit more awake.

I will then get into my PJs or some sort of loungewear. I always want to make sure I’m comfortable when I’m feeling unwell. The fact I end up wearing this sort of thing most days is not the point but still. I then like to do some skincare because for some reason, my skin feels really gross when I feel sick. Is that just me?

After that, I will then climb back into bed and get as comfortable as I can. I will then spend the rest of the day watching some form of television, such as Netflix, Youtube, or maybe even a film. I highly recommend the Fear Street Trilogy by the way. I will also spend time reading.
