Welcome to ‘a day in my life’ blog post! I haven’t done one of these yet on this blog so I thought I would share one with you. I’m going to treat this post a little differently though. Ordinarily, I would add pictures but I wanted to try this as if I was writing about my day in my journal.
As I write my blog posts well in advance, this day in the life is from 25th April 2022. I wrote this out at the end of the day simply because it’s easier rather than adding to the post as the day goes on. On this particular day, it was my first day back at University after the Easter holidays. I hope you like this post!
It is such a difficult thing getting back into the swing of things after a long break. My alarm went off at 6:30am this morning which was very very painful. I’m already looking forward to the weekend. I got up and headed to the bathroom to have a shower and brush my teeth before getting dressed. It had been a while since I listened to some podcasts, so I had one on whilst I was getting dressed and doing my makeup.
I then went downstairs to have a cup of tea and some breakfast. I would like to thank last night Beth for packing the bag then so I didn’t have to do it in the morning. It allowed me to be more chilled. I then left at 8am to get to university for my first lecture which was my politics lecture. We went through details about the exam which is 2 weeks today! I am slightly terrified I can’t lie.
Once the first lecture was over, I went to the library and did a bit of revision and prepared tomorrow’s lecture notes for Politics. I only had an hour before I went to my Politics seminar. I can’t believe it was my last seminar of the year.. First year has honestly flown by! We looked at myths about Churchill which was very exciting.
I then headed back to the main building on campus so I could get some food and a drink. I had a panini and a coffee because I seriously needed some caffeine. I then went back to the library so I could do some more revision before my final lecture of the day. I don’t know what genius came up with the idea of doing building work right outside the library whilst I was trying to revise. It was very frustrating.
My final lecture of the day was for my Legal System of England and Wales module. We’ve already covered all of the material so this lecture was a revision lecture. The last lecture of the day always seems to grab and this one was no exception. 2 hours in a lecture theatre is not fun.
Anyway, I finished at 3pm and Mum picked me up. She wanted to go to a local garden centre so I went with her to have a look around. It was really pretty. We then headed back home. I had a quick snack and then I got on with some more work and revision until it was time for dinner.
I then had a bath because I needed to relax. First days back after a break are hard, let me tell you. I then filled out my Bullet Journal, planned for tomorrow, did some journaling and packed my bag ready for tomorrow. I then got into bed which is where I am right now writing this.
