Welcome to another blog post! Today I would like to share with you how I personally like to make my iced coffee. This is coming from someone who has the basic of all basic things needed to make this coffee so don’t expect anything fancy. Anyway, without further ado, let’s get to it!
What you will need
- A Glass or Tumbler
- A separate cup to brew your lovely coffee
- Instant Coffee – whichever one you fancy
- Ice
- Milk – again whichever one you fancy
- Syrup – completely optional but I like to go for Vanilla
- Sugar – also optional
Let’s go
The first thing to do is boil the kettle and place 3 teaspoons of instant coffee into a mug, or however many teaspoons depending on how strong you like your coffee. There is also an option to add a teaspoon or 2 or however many you like of sugar to the cup too.
Once the kettle has boiled, I like to pour water in until it’s about a quarter full. I used to act like I was making a black coffee but I found it would mean my iced coffee wasn’t very cold. Of course, you could pop the cup into the fridge but I am far too impatient for that.
I then like to give this coffee a good stir just to make sure it’s all lovely and together and smooth. (Dear god, I’m bad at writing instructions!) This can then be put aside.
Next, I take my glass or tumbler and fill as much ice in there as I can. This is to ensure the coffee is as cold as possible. I then take the vanilla syrup and add that to the cup. How much I add is very much an estimate but I would say maybe 2 or 3 teaspoons. I then add the milk to the cup and fill it about 3/4 of the way.
I then take the other cup with the coffee in and pour that into the glass or tumbler. Sometimes, it may be necessary to add a little more milk after if it hasn’t gone all the way to the top. I then give It a good stir and voila!
Thank you very much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this blog post.
