Welcome to another blogmas post. Today’s post is going to be all about sharing my favourite things about Christmas. Christmas is my favourite time of the year for so many reasons, and I’m going to go into depth why that is.
I love being able to give gifts to people
Being able to see people’s reactions to the gifts I’ve got them always makes me feel good. It’s seeing the smile on their faces and how happy they look. I also really like the process of going out and picking gifts for everyone. Of course, receiving gifts is also very nice but I do love the whole gifting process.
Christmas food is the best
I’m sorry, but is there anything better than Christmas food? Gingerbread, Christmas dinners, cinnamon, mince pies. The list is endless. Not only does it all taste beautiful, I just associate it with cosiness. Is that weird?
Christmas songs are all bops
I’ll be writing a blog post later on this month showing what my favourite Christmas songs are, so I’m not going to go into too much detail now. I just absolutely adore them and I can’t wait to share that blog post with you soon.
This time of year is so cosy
I know I’ve already touched upon this, but it’s true. This time of year is extremely cosy because of a combination of things. I mentioned the food (weirdly), but the weather also helps. It’s so cold and fresh outside which is my favourite kind of temperature. I’m definitely more of a winter person than a summer person.
Another thing that makes this time of year cosy is the Christmas decorations. My parents go all out with the decorations each year and it just makes our hose feel so warm and inviting.
Spending time with family
This is probably my all time favourite thing about Christmas. Being able to spend quality time with family is just wonderful. I love playing various board games, watching Christmas films and shows together, and just reminiscing and talking and laughing.
