My Updated Iced Coffee Routine – Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

2 years ago, I made a blog post about how I make my iced coffee. Since then, the way I have made my coffee has changed and so I thought I would share that with you all today! As someone who works in a coffee shop, I have definitely developed more of an understanding as to how coffee tastes best. Let’s get to it!

You will need

  • Coffee (I am using a coffee pod to extract my coffee but you can use instant coffee too)
  • Milk of choice
  • Brown Sugar
  • Syrup of choice (I’m using Vanilla)
  • Ice
  • Cup of choice
  • Something to froth your milk with (I’m using a cafetière as I have found that to work really well)

Instructions

The first thing you want to do is extract your coffee. I process my machine to extract a two shot at a slightly lower temperature as I’m making a cold drink.

Next, add the coffee, ice, brown sugar and ice to your cup or something that has a lid.

This is because you’re going to want to shake everything. This is going to make it nice and foamy. It should look something like the picture below.

Next, add milk of your choice. You don’t want to fill it all the way to the top as we’re going to be adding some cold foam on top.

Now it’s time to make the cold foam. You need to add your milk of choice to the cafetière or a cup if you’re using a milk frother. You’ll also need to add a pump of your syrup of choice to add flavour to the cold foam. I’m using vanilla.

Froth up your milk until you have a thick consistency like the picture below.

Next, add this cold foam on top.

And then you are done!

And there you have it! This is how I make my iced coffee as of November 2024!

And that’s it! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this post and I will see you soon for another one!

Beth
