My Go-To Music for Studying

Welcome to another blog post!

One of the things that I have to do a lot of is studying. As a university student, you can imagine there are a lot of things I need to revise. I need to get organised, maintain productivity and use my time well. However, one of the things that I simply cannot do is do any of these things in silence. I have tried and it doesn’t work for me. I’d love to know if you prefer studying with sound or in complete silence. Let me know!

Today, I’m going to share some of the music and sounds that I like to listen to whilst I’m studying. Let’s get to it!

Movie Soundtracks

This is probably the most common form of music I listen to whilst studying. It’s perfect because there’s normally no singing or words involved so you don’t get distracted. A few of my favourites actually come from Hans Zimmer, particularly Inception and Interstellar.

Piano Music

I really enjoy listening to piano music whilst I’m studying. Similar to movie soundtracks, there’s rarely any singing so there’s not a risk of being distracted. I particularly like listening to Ludovico Einaudi.

Classical Music

Ok, I know this is similar to piano music. However, when I’m talking about piano music, I’m thinking of music that’s quite contemporary so this isn’t remotely similar.

Lofi Music

You know those playlists and live streams you see on YouTube with the cover photo of a drawing of a girl studying in front of the window?

This one? Okay, carrying on. Yes, these live streams and playlists are amazing to study to. They are simple beats to get in the right mind and focus.

White Noise

Okay, I know this isn’t music. Sometimes I don’t want music and I just want noise. This is perfect to listen to as it’s not overwhelming and it’s simply in the background.

And that’s it! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this post and I will see you soon for another one.
