10 TV Shows on my Watch List

Welcome to another blog post! Today I’m sharing 10 tv shows that are on my watch list for this year. I’ve already shared the films and books on my watch and reading list so of course I wanted to share some tv shows. As always, I’ll share a brief synopsis of each tv show. Let’s get to it!

The Lincoln Lawyer

This show is about a defence attorney in Los Angeles who often works out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator.  

The Rain

When a virus that is carried by rainfall wipes out almost all humans in the area of Scandinavia two siblings Simone and Rasmus take shelter in a bunker. Six years later, they emerge to search for their father, a scientist who left them in the bunker but never returned. Along the way, they join a group of young survivors and together they travel across Denmark and Sweden searching for a safe place, and for the siblings’ father, who may be able to provide answers and a cure.

Supernatural

This show follows the two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters and other supernatural beings.

This show is set in a nightmarish town in the United States that traps those who enter. The unwilling residents strive to stay alive while plagued by terrifying nocturnal creatures from the surrounding forest as they search for secrets hidden within the town and beyond in the hope of finding a way out.

The Sinner

This show is about a police detective who investigates crimes committed by unlikely culprits and attempts to uncover their motivations. 

Dirty Money

This is a documentary series that tells stories of corporate corruption, securities fraud and creative accounting. 

The Detectives

This is a documentary with unparalleled and intimate access, following Greater Manchester Police detectives as they try to unravel complex cases.

Slow Horses

Slough House is an administrative purgatory for MI5 service rejects who have seriously failed a task but not badly enough to get sacked. They are known as slow horses and those assigned there are expected to endure boring and routine tasks. Life in Slough House is defined by drudgery. Yet the slow horses somehow get involved in investigating cases that endanger Britain.

Criminal Record

This show is about two detectives, one a seasoned veteran and the other early in her career, clash on an old murder case after an anonymous phone call draws them to it.

Lisey’s Story

Lisa “Lisey” Landon is the widow of famous fiction author Scott Landon, who died two years prior to the start of the series. Lisey is still mourning Scott, and fending off parties who are interested in obtaining Scott’s unpublished manuscripts. While sorting through Scott’s possessions, Lisey discovers that Scott has left her a treasure hunt, which has her revisiting memories of their marriage, especially suppressed memories of unusual abilities that Scott had. While Lisey pursues this treasure hunt, she gains a dangerous stalker who believes that she is selfishly keeping Scott’s genius from the world.
