A Football Bullet Journal Setup

Welcome to the first blog post of 2023! I hope you have all had a lovely festive time with your families. If it’s been a normal time for you, I hope this time has been lovely for you too!

Today’s post, as you can probably guess, is going to be my Bullet Journal Setup for January. I decided to go for a football theme as it is probably my favourite sport. I would say this setup is very minimal as well so it feels like a real fresh start.

Let’s get to it!

Cover Page and Quote Page

For my cover page, I went for an aerial view of a football pitch as it’s very easy to do and adds to the minimal vibe I’m going for. I decided to go for a lower case bubble letter font to add something a little bit different, and I went for a gorgeous green as my accent colour for this month. You might not be able to tell in the photo but I also added a light grey drop-shadow to the letters just to add that little bit of something and I really like how it turned out!

As for my quote page, I had to go for the opening lyrics to ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, which is the song that is played before every match at Anfield which is the home stadium of Liverpool FC. It’s a beautiful song with the loveliest of lyrics so I had to include a part of the song somewhere. I included a doodle of a football and I also added a grey drop-shadow to add some depth. I really adore how this turned out.

Monthly Spread

For my monthly spread, I of course went for a calendar layout which continues to work well for me. Each square is 5 by 5 which is my go-to size nowadays. I might change it up in the future. It all depends on how busy my month is! I also included a goals section as I really want to focus on monthly goals this year and accomplishing them. I also added some doodles to keep the theme going on this page and I really like it!

Content Tracker

Once again, my content tracker for this month remains the same. I’ve created a table that includes the social media apps that I post on and I will use this to keep track of what I’m posting and when I’m posting on it. I had some space to the right of the table and so I decided to include a little ideas section to brainstorm any ideas I get about content. I kept the theme going for this page too and I really like how it turned out!

Trackers and Sleep Tracker

For my trackers section, I decided to include my habit, symptoms and mood tracker on here just to make things a little more concise. I have been using the individual habit tracker layout for a while but I always like to switch things up when things become stale. I feel like this layout reminds me of how I used to do my trackers back when I first started to use a bullet journal.

You may have noticed that I brought back the sleep tracker. Last month, I didn’t use it as I started to grow bored of it. However, I have noticed that I haven’t been sleeping well (ironic really) so I think it’s best I bring it back so I can keep an eye on things.

Expenses Tracker and Brain Dump

This month, I decided to bring back my expenses tracker. I really want to be smarter financially this year, and so bringing this back is the first step towards that goal. I still feel like this layout is not the best for me and my needs. I need to find a different layout but in the mean time, this will have to do.

For my brain dump, I drew a big aerial view of a football pitch, and my contents of my brain will be within the lines.

And that’s it! Thank you for reading and I will see you soon with another blog post.
