Beauty Habits I Keep Even on Bad Days

Welcome to another blog post!

Do you ever have them days? You know, the days where you can’t be bothered doing anything. I do. A lot. The problem is, we still have to do things even though we don’t have the energy for it. I mean, I’ve got a dedicated skincare routine. Do I have days where I don’t want to do that?

Absolutely.

But, I still want to keep some beauty habits. These are the ones that I consider the necessities. The ones that add that little bit extra to making me feel a bit more human. Today I’m going to share them with you. Let’s get to it!

Washing My Face

The first thing I do when I enter the bathroom most days is I wash my face. This is a non-negotiable. I feel more human after I’ve washed my face. Even if I can’t be bothered using my face wash, I will still splash my face with cold water. It just gets my day off to a good start.

Moisturise

I have to moisturise every single day. My skin would cry otherwise. I have naturally very dry skin so moisturising is something I have to do. I feel better after I’ve done it so it’s something I do even on bad days.

Brushing My Hair

If you guys know me, you know I love theme parks. I promise this is relevant. When I come off Hyperia at Thorpe Park, my hair is atrocious. It is so knotty and I hate it with a passion. I have to brush my hair to get rid of that sensation. I’m the type of person to brush my hair after I’ve been outside for a bit. I don’t like the way it feels if I don’t. Therefore, I have to brush my hair as much as possible.

Applying Lip Balm

Like with my hair, the feeling of dry lips is something I really don’t like. I always take a lip balm with me to work that I apply throughout the day. This is a no-brainer for me of something I have to do even on bad days.

Deodorant

The thought of smelling horrible does not fill me with joy. At the time of writing, we have had some very hot weather which has not been fun, particularly with my job. I have been so paranoid about smelling to the point that I have deodorant of all kinds in my bag just in case I start to smell. So yeah, even on bad days, I will be using deodorant.

Clean My Teeth

This is a complete non-negotiable. You know when you run your tongue along your teeth and it feels meh? I hate that. Cleaning my teeth is something I have to do everyday.

By the way, if you’re reading this and there are habits here that you can’t do on bad days, please don’t look at this post as me saying that you’re not a good person or lazy or something like that. We all are different in our own ways. I’m just sharing what I do. If you’re different, that’s completely fine!

And that’s it! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this post and I will see you soon for another one!
