Welcome to another blogmas post! I hope you’re all well.
Archer & Olive notebooks have taken the bullet journal community by storm. Their elaborate designs, different layouts and sizes, and their commitment to raising awareness to improve mental health through creativity has made them one of the leading notebook brands out there.
But are they worth it?
It’s no secret that Archer & Olive are one of the premium notebook brands out there. Ordering directly from the site, particularly if you’re not from the USA or Canada, can set you back quite a bit. It’s one of the reasons why it’s taken me so long to get one for myself.
Thankfully, there are stockists in different countries which I was very thankful for and I finally got my hands on this beauty.

This is the Foliage Dot Grid Notebook and it is an absolute beauty. In today’s post, I’m going to be reviewing the notebook. I’ll discuss the different features, how much this notebook cost, the quality and whether I think it’s worth it.
I’ll do this quick disclaimer now. Archer & Olive are not aware that I’m making this review. I bought this notebook with my own money and therefore, all opinions are very much my own. Let’s get to it!
As I mentioned before, this is the A5 Foliage Dot Grid Notebook. I got mine from Under the Rowan Trees, an official UK stockist for Archer & Olive. However, it’s not available on there anymore which is why I’ve linked to it on the official page. I do remember that the notebook cost me £37.45.
Features of the Notebook
As already discussed, this notebook is a5 in size. It is a dot grid notebook, with 192 pages that are 160gsm. This is perfect for me, as it allows me to have 6 months of the year in one notebook.
This notebook has an expandable back pocket, 2 ribbon bookmarks with the gold logo for Archer & Olive attached to one, and an elastic closure.
The cover of the notebook is a brown vegan leather. with different leaves embossed into the cover. It’s one of the most beautiful notebook I’ve ever seen and I’ve been so lucky to use it.
My Thoughts
I adore this notebook. I think it’s one of the prettiest notebooks I’ve owned. The quality of the notebook is next to none, and I really appreciate the attention to detail with it.
Yes, the notebook is expensive. However, you’re getting a good quality notebook and that’s something that I really appreciate.
And that’s it! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this post and I will see you tomorrow for another one!

How is the paper quality for bleeding and feathering of fountain pen ink?

I can’t say for feathering as I haven’t used fountain pen ink. There is no bleeding with pens that I use and it can hold a little bit of water as well if you like to use watercolour! Sorry I should have specified that more in the post.
