9 Books I Want to Reread in 2026

Welcome to another blog post!

Since I started to officially make note of what I was reading, I have read 219 books. All of these have been first-time reads for me. That’s fine and there’s nothing wrong with that all. However, it dawned on me not that long ago that I rewatch tv shows and films all the time. Therefore, surely I can do the same for books?

I mean, I probably read Matilda a bunch of times when I was younger and I can’t count the amount of the times I would gravitate towards Jacqueline Wilson. As a result, I have made a list of some books I want to reread at some point this year. I have a few reasons for wanting to reread these which I will explain as I share the books.

Anyway, let’s get to it!

1) The Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Caroll

The Bullet Journal Method is a deep-dive into the bullet journal system by its creator Ryder Carroll. I read this all the way back at the beginning of 2022 and I feel like now is the perfect time to reread it. Sometimes I think about switching to a standard planner and so I want to read this again to remind myself of the true qualities of the system and why I started to use it in the first place.

2) It by Stephen King

It was the first Stephen King book I ever read and I absolutely loved it. I read this over five years ago and having grown to love and appreciate the horror genre even more, as well as see the 2017 film adaptation, I want to revisit this.

3) Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker

You’ll come to find that a lot of these books are ones where I haven’t read them for a while and want to remind myself of why I liked them so much. Mindhunter applies to that reasoning. As I’m older, I want to see how these books impact me and whether I still like them as much as I did.

4) Unnatural Causes: The Life & Many Deaths of Britain’s Top Forensic Pathologist by Richard Shepherd

I recently read Shepherd’s follow up book to this, The Seven Ages of Death, and I really liked it. It was my favourite book that I read last year and I want to reread this for that reason. I find this sort of thing extremely interesting.

5) 1984 by George Orwell

I have such a love-hate relationship with this book in that I think it’s one of the driest books I’ve ever read but the story is so intriguing and alarming to me that I can’t help wanting to reread it again.

6) We Were Liars by E.Lockhart

I read this a little while ago and remembering just thinking it was very average. Having seen how popular the tv series is, I want to give this another go and see if my opinion changes in any way.

7) The Secret Barrister by The Secret Barrister

This was such a wonderful book that I am just desperate to reread it again. Of course, I still need to read the sequels to this. However, The Secret Barrister is so informative and interesting that I just want to get going with it again!

8) One Last Stop by Casey Mcquiston

This is probably my favourite book I’ve ever read. I absolutely adore the storyline as it combines everything I love. The romance is lovely and I love the mystery element included. I can’t wait to reread this again!

And that’s it! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this post and I will see you soon for another one!
